1. Jumping photos are the MOST FUN EVER. -Mearle & Corvus

  2. If you’ve been watching our twitter account, you’ll already know that Corvus and I escaped our island for the weekend by catching a boat to an even smaller one!

Sark is another of the Channel Islands, where the only modes of travel available are tractors, horse and carriage rides, or bicycle.

We had the best weekend cycling all over the place and even threw a couple of pots each at the local pottery (we’re waiting for them to be fired and posted over - photos to follow in due course!) By the end of the weekend we were exhausted, hugely saddle sore and covered in Sark dust.

You can find more photos of our weekend on flickr http://www.flickr.com/people/roberthunterart/

  7. This little hedgehog is a birthday gift for my tiny niece, Adele. He was completely hand stitched from my own pattern. He has a Guernsey pebble in his belly to remind him where he’s from and a tiny glass heart so he has somewhere to store his memories.

His nose and tummy fabric was plain white cotton that I dyed with onion skins - it was this dyed fabric which inspired the whole project!

The spines were embroidered onto his back after he had been sewn and stuffed - just simple stitches repeated many times in a soft colour palette. His eyes are two pretty little french knots - no button eyes for a one year old!

I’m so looking forward to giving this gift later today.

    Happy times <3

  11. Hello there!I do apologise for the lack of activity here this month but woah, so it’s been a busy few weeks for both Mearle and myself!
I’ve been busy working on my band Twelve Ton Trouble’s album, getting it ready for release within the next few months. I’ve also been busy organising the filming of the music video for our song ‘Repair’ with filmmaker, Jack De La Mare.
We’re all so excited to see it, it’s looking fantastic so far and well worth the very cold week of filming. We’ll make sure that you all can see it too when it’s released on the 29th April! Until then feel free to follow our progress on Facebook and Twitter and check out our single ‘Chosen’!
I thought you might like to see this photo from my notebook to show we are still alive and kicking!-Corvus

  12. It’s true that Corvus and I have been distracted recently.

My reason was this: SunnyCon 2013.

Two friends and I took a plane, two trains and a taxi to Sunderland in order to attend this convention and had such a brilliant time.

The atmosphere at anime conventions is always infectious - excitable and welcoming, as if it were a giant family reunion. Every single attendee is already your friend, they understand inside jokes and they react the same way you do to the same things.

It is nightmarish trying to explain what it is like to someone who doesn’t understand, but I have never experienced a rush of warmth extending to every single person in the (very large) room in the same way as at a con.

Glomp-tackles and boob-hugs and crossplays are expected occurrences. Every person respects everyone’s preferences (barring some of the more fierce shippers)!

It is just so much more than dressing up and wandering around a hall.

And when you get almost squeezed to death by Sonny Strait and Vic Mignogna while they simultaneously brandish a sharpie at every scrap of paper or bare patch of flesh in sight, it is an experience you just can’t beat!

Corvus will be about soon to make his own excuses, but don’t worry! We haven’t vanished just yet.
